Christmas has always been my most favorite holiday. I have always loved everything involved in it. It has saddened me the past few years though, to see the commercialization of it, & to see CHRIST being pushed out of this season that is all about HIM, & the celebration of His birth. We will continue to celebrate the 'real' reason of this season in our home.

I have always loved the above graphic. It pictures a home that I used to dream of living in when I was a little girl - it's so welcoming, especially with the Christmas lights twinkling so invitingly. We didn't have this home as I was growing up, but we had a home filled with love, & a home in which we were taught the true meaning of Christmas. I cherish those memories. We didn't receive a lot of gifts (coming from a family of 10 children, my parents struggled to get us gifts), but I never thought of it in a negative way. Most likely because our home was filled with everything that I would think a home should have during the holidays...laughter, the Christmas aromas, love, & always friends & family filling our small home. We always opened gifts on Christmas Eve in our home, & I used to almost burst with anticipation! Now that we have two precious Grandbabies, I hope we can make it as special for them as it has always been for me. There will be many more pages added here, as I don't have many at the moment. This is a 'work in progress'. Please knock on the door, & come right in!
