If you were to ask your kids what good character is, what would they say? For that matter, what would 'you' say? Well, here's an easy way to remember a few of the traits that make up good character. Think of the word 'rich'. R is for respect of self and others. I is for integrity. C is for courage, and H is for honesty. Talk to your children about what each trait means...and how they can put these traits into action in their daily lives. Encourage them to be 'rich' in what really matters.

A thought from me: I thought this was a good little practice - especially in a time and day when the supply of character is so low in our world. Raising children is such an awesome responsibility, and we are wise to seek God's guidance each day as we do this most important task in life. We need to search our heart and life, and make sure that 'we' are rich in character if we want to train our children in this area.
